MAGIC BUDDHA was formed by singer/songwriter Marc Gerson and guitarist/songwriter Howard Nemaizer in 2023 to record and rework existing material from thier former bands WHITE MAGIC and BAD BUDDHA.

WHITE MAGIC was formed in 1980 at I.S. 25 JH in Flushing, Queens by Howard Nemaizer and Marc Gerson. Demos were recorded in 1985, including songs produced by Elliot Rothpearl featuring John Regan (BAD ENGLISH) on bass and Rob Sabino (JEFF BECK) on Keyboards.

Despite diligent efforts the band were unable to secure a record deal. WHITE MAGIC‘s final performance was at L’Amour in Brooklyn, NY on 5/8/86.

In 1994 Nemaizer, Gerson and WHITE MAGIC bassist Kenny Banks formed BAD BUDDHA, with Doc Bruce on drums. In November 1995 the band recorded more demo songs produced by Elliot Rothpearl and Eddie Solan. The group disbanded in late 1995 due to musical differrences.

MAGIC BUDDHA marks a new era for Gerson and Nemaizer. Much more to come….
